Sydney earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. During graduate school, she became certified as a Yoga Instructor to incorporate a mind-body approach into her clinical practice. She is a pre-licensed therapist in the process of obtaining her licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Sydney provides therapy to children, adults, couples, and families with a wide variety of concerns relating to mental health and relationships. She is passionate about working alongside children to help them understand and process their emotions, and often uses Play Therapy techniques in her work. In addition, she provides support and education to parents. Sydney’s areas of interest include Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief, and Relational Stressors. She views change and personal growth as an ever-evolving process, and believes that when we begin to understand ourselves and our emotional experiences, meaningful change can emerge.
Her therapeutic approach is Collaborative and Person-Centered. She believes the context of your life is important, and that you are the expert on what is best for you. She is dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges to live a more fulfilling life and believes in the power of creating a safe and supportive environment where you can meet your goals. Sydney greatly values connecting with each of her clients, and strives to elicit strength, compassion, and healing in their work together.
Sydney is interested in offering Yoga Therapy for children, teens, and adults. Stay tuned for Group and or class offerings!
