Samantha Atkinson

MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC (She/Her/Hers)

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner


Samantha is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of nursing experience in a variety of mental health settings across the lifespan including inpatient, residential, and chemical dependency treatment. She is currently focused on treating patients ages 18 and up. For the past two years, Samantha has been working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on the inpatient psychiatry consult service in partnership with Fairview and the University of Minnesota Physicians, where she served patients who were medically and psychologically complex. In this role, she developed a passion and deep appreciation for the mind-body connection which continues to guide her current practice and ongoing education.  While she sees patients with a variety of mental health concerns, she has a special interest in providing psychiatric treatment for people with medical comorbidities, treatment resistant Depression, psychosis, and management of Bipolar Disorder. Samantha takes a holistic and person-centered approach to treatment which can include medications, psychotherapy, lifestyle modification, and neuromodulation.



Aubrey Fredrickson

MSW, LGSW (She/Her/Hers)

Licensed Graduate Social Worker & Mental Health Therapist


Aubrey is a compassionate and skilled therapist with a Masters in Social Work from Capella University, earned in 2024. She is currently working toward a dual license as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). With several years’ experience in chemical dependency and mental health, Aubrey has worked in various settings including detox/withdrawal management, residential treatment centers for serious and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) individuals, with those with co-occurring disorders in outpatient treatment, and as part of a mobile crisis response team.Aubrey is dedicated to helping adults who are dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Grief, and family or relationship issues. She uses research-based techniques like Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength-Based approaches, along with Mindfulness practices to support her clients. Aubrey believes that everyone has the potential to lead a happy and fulfilling life. She values authenticity and compassion in her practice, which she sees as a key component to facilitating positive change.
