Welcome Ashley Spinler and Elyse Robinson!

Serenity is excited to introduce Ashley Spinler, our New Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, who is devoted to providing gender-affirming care to the LGBTQIA2S+ community! Serenity is also thrilled to officially introduce Elyse Robinson as a new therapist specializing in work with adolescents, pregnant, and parenting adults. Elyse is passionate about working in women’s health, and she has experience in addiction and trauma. Elyse is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a modality for processing trauma. See below to learn more about Ashley and Elyse!


Ashley Spinler

Ashley earned her Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Cloud State University in 2018 and she has six years of experience within the field. Ashley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Ashley operates from a Systems perspective when working with clients, which means she views all individuals as being impacted by various systems (i.e., family, friends, etc.) within their life. She also utilizes Narrative, Strengths-Based, Person-Centered and Experiential therapy modalities with her clients. Ashley often will use Play Therapy and Art as therapeutic tools with many of her clients. At the center of Ashley’s work is her desire to cultivate a space where clients feel they are able to be heard. Therefore, Ashley strives to create an open, affirming and supportive environment where individuals feel welcome and comfortable in therapy.


Ashley currently works with children, adolescents, adults and families in therapy. She has a passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma. She also really enjoys working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Ashley strives to provide gender-affirming care by creating a safe space for all of her clients to share their stories. When not working, Ashley enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family members, and baking.


Elyse Robinson

MA, LADC (She/Her/Hers)

Mental Health Therapist

Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor


Elyse is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and is in the process of obtaining her licensure to practice as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LPCC). She enjoys working with adolescents and pregnant and parenting adults. Specifically, she is passionate about perinatal and women’s mental health. She works with clients to build on their strengths and to utilize their coping skills. Elyse is experienced in helping individuals work towards their goals with a variety of concerns including Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Post-Traumatic Stress, Substance Use, Relationship Problems, Social Fears, Grief and Loss, Family Problems, and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety. Elyse works from a Relational-Cultural Theory framework which focuses on healing through relationships. Elyse is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a modality for processing trauma, or mental and physical conditions to achieve benefits more rapidly and to promote quicker healing and recovery from significant life events. Elyse attended Saint Mary’s University to receive her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling along with a graduate certificate in Addiction Studies, for an Advanced Practice degree. Elyse has an undergraduate degree in elementary and middle school education and has previously worked in technical training. Most recently, she worked in a gender-specific substance use and mental health treatment program which serves a diverse population of women and their children. For self-care, Elyse enjoys spending time with her family, two dogs, and finding new restaurants to enjoy.
