Brittni recently received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University in 2021. She is a pre-licensed therapist in the process of obtaining her licensure to practice as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LPCC). Brittni is working to become a dually-licensed therapist as she is already a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with training in Addiction Counseling and ten years of experience working in the field of addiction. Brittni has experience working in correctional environments, acute hospital psychiatric facilities, residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment and detox centers, hospitals (ER, transplant teams, acute, mother/baby, and cardiovascular) settings, and within family services supervising parent-child visitations. These experiences have enhanced her interest in providing holistic care. Brittni has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Child and Family Development and Psychology.
As a therapist, Brittni provides individuals with a safe and non-judgmental space where feelings of all kinds are received and validated, a trusted therapeutic relationship can be established, and steps towards healing, change, and self-discovery can be achieved. She is passionate about working with teenagers and adults that identify as female, male, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ who are struggling with eating disorders or body image, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity development, life-transitions, bullying, relational conflicts, self-injurious behaviors, co-occurring disorders and substance abuse, and complex long-term medical conditions. Her therapeutic orientation is a collection of evidence-based treatment modalities including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Narrative Therapy; and Gestalt Therapy. Brittni also has her Therapeutic Art Life Coach Certification (CTALC) and enjoys providing therapy through an Experiential (Expressive Arts) approach.
Brittni helps individuals rediscover their true authentic self by empowering clients to explore, challenge, and invest in their healing. Her client-centered approach promotes understanding, hope, and healing. She looks forward to supporting you on your recovery journey!
