Andy received his Master’s Degree of Advanced Practice from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies and he has over nine years of experience in the mental health field. Andy enjoys working with adults experiencing Depression, Anxiety, Substance-Use issues, Behavioral problems, and difficulty adjusting to various life circumstances. His training includes working with clients and families to create awareness about mental health factors, healthy family dynamics, and development of effective communications styles that promote connection and understanding.
 
Andy believes that helping clients on the path of self-exploration and personal growth takes time and understanding. Andy is passionate about building a therapeutic alliance to shape the course for therapy and reveal the client’s ultimate goals. Andy uses various clinical approaches, depending on the needs and goals of each client’s journey toward wellness. He enjoys combining a Client-Centered approach with Solution-Focused strategies when partnering with clients. This foundation provides direction for therapeutic goals and allows creative collaboration to achieve them. Approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) often find their way into each session. Providing psychoeducation and creating self-awareness with clients is a fundamental cornerstone of his therapeutic approach as well. Andy’s personal hobbies include playing golf, riding his bike, Netflix binging, and hanging out with his family and friends.
