Two New Therapists

As we head into the month of May, Mental Health Awareness Month and Women’s Health Awareness Month, we are excited to announce the arrival of two new therapists to Serenity! Meet! Rebecca Hea Rin Marks and Agne Miskinis.

Rebecca Hea Rin Marks

MA, LAMFT (She/Her/Hers)

Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Rebecca has been working and collaborating in the mental health field in various roles for over 14 years. Her greatest passion is working with children, adolescents, families, and couples who are experiencing challenges with adoption and foster care placements, in particular dealing with attachment and personality disorders, as well as severe and persistent mental health concerns, such as bipolar and psychotic disorders.

Rebecca’s theoretical approaches are primarily Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); however, she emphasizes Trauma Informed Care and specializes in working with people who have a history of sexual trauma. As an adoptee herself, Rebeca enjoys working with the adoption and foster care communities, and their friends and families. She has experience in post-adoption services, such as birth family searches and birth country visits. Rebecca hopes to create an environment where adoptees and people who have been through adoption placement and the foster care system can express themselves, artistically and creatively through the fine arts, coupled with group psychotherapy.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys Swedish baking, jamming with her klezmer band, and going hiking with her husband, Jeremy and their cat, Oliver.

Agne Miskinis

MA (She/Her/Hers)

Mental Health Therapist

Agne Miskinis recently earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2023. She is a pre-licensed therapist in the process of obtaining her licensure to practice as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LPCC). Agne has a variety of work experiences which include inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient mental health clinics, community outreach for peer support, critical incident stress management, and volunteering in Ukraine. Agne has over eight years of experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and she feels passionately about working with first responder populations.

Agne loves to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her areas of expertise include Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress, Relationship issues, Attachment, Grief/Loss, and Stress Management. She has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Attachment Therapy.

Agne’s approach to therapy is grounded in empathy and building a meaningful and collaborative therapeutic relationship. It is her goal to help individuals feel safe, understood, and empowered in their ability to effect change in their lives.
